3. Asylum is under attack.
In a nutshell: The Trump administration has proposed changes to asylum regulations that will make it nearly impossible for individuals fleeing violence to obtain protection in the United States. In particular, survivors fleeing domestic violence, rape, forced marriage, and human trafficking will no longer be able to seek safety in our country.

2. COVID-19 disproportionately impacts victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence, and in Black communities and other communities of color, that impact is compounded by systemic racism.
In a nutshell: Not a single COVID relief bill has included funding to directly support culturally-specific community-based organizations that provide domestic violence and sexual assault services.

1. Countless women depend on no-cost, federally guaranteed birth control coverage under their work health plans. But this week, the Supreme Court will weigh in on an egregious Trump regulation to determine whether, based on their own religious or moral beliefs, employers can refuse to cover contraceptives.
In a nutshell: Rolling back contraceptive coverage shows no regard for the women of color, low income women, and young women who will be left in the lurch with steep out-of-pocket expenses. Economic barriers and racism in health care already undermine reproductive justice for these marginalized groups —reducing access to birth control will only make matters worse.
